Lori Melnitsky, MA CCC-SLP is a licensed speech/language pathologist who has specialized in treating adults and
children who stutter for over 22 years. She holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American
Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is a member of Special Interest Division 4 – Fluency and Fluency
Disorders. Lori has published and spoken nationally on the subject of stuttering and fluency disorders. She was

I am a speech and language therapist currently working in the fields of stroke, stammering, and voice. I have experience in delivering therapy for clients with conditions such as dysphagia, aphasia, dyspraxia, dysarthria, voice disorders, as well as a range of other communication difficulties. I am trained in Palin Parent-Child Interaction Therapy and the Lidcombe Program, amongst other approaches.
As a person who stammers, I know first hand the importance of effective, personalised therapy. I have been involved with communication charities, such as Deafblind UK and the British Stammering Association, and have a particular interest in stammering, aphasia, and the role of new technologies in therapy. In 2015 I was the recipient of the Travers Reid Award for new research into stammering.
